Lenin's Mausoleum is one of the most important sites in Moscow, both for tourists and Russians. There's no doubt that this is one of the things that impresses tourists the most and if you keep reading you'll know why. Putting it short: the building with reddish walls situated next to the Red Square is Lenin's tomb and his embalmed body lies in a glass sarcophagus that is guarded 24/7 by armed to the teeth Russian soldiers. Visiting this mausoleum is a surreal and an amazing experience -to put it mildly- that you will be able to have in Moscow. It's not every day that you get to see the body of one of history's most famous political figures with your own eyes ...!

For years, the Mausoleum has been a place of worship for followers of the Soviet regime and one of the most visited places throughout the country.
