Milan’s Monumental Cemetery is another high point of cultural and architectural interest in the city. More than a cemetery, it can be said that it’s an outdoor museum due to the great number of artistic tombs it holds.
It was built in 1866 to unify the small cemeteries of the city and it currently holds a wide range of Italian sculptures, obelisks and impressive temples. You can even see a miniature version of the Column of Trajan.
