This small village of Madeira is very beautiful and very unique. There, the traditional Madeira old houses are preserved and you can visit them whenever you want to. Many families (some of them with horses) lived in these triangular shape houses. Nowadays, they give a very charming colourful touch to the village because they look like some kind of toys. The Santana area is amazing and it is very worth to visit, walk around and discover all the corners.
