Margarita Island is an islet in the middle of the Danube in Budapest. t was formerly known as the rabbits island but eventually was baptized with this name in honor of a Hungarian Princess, Margaret, who became a nun. Some ruins of the convent are still preserved. On the island, you can do many activities: sports, visit the medieval ruins, go to pools or to a water park... and often activities such as shows, theater and outdoor cinema are also held. You can reach the island across the river, by minibus or tram. Depending on the time of the year it looks more or less beautiful, because like everywhere the flowers and plants look more appealing in spring time. If you want, you have the option of renting an electric vehicle and go all around the islet.
