Ruin Pubs is a bar area in Budapest, specifically in Pest, one of the two sides of the Hungarian capital. The name is no coincidence, since almost all pubs have a "bar in ruins" aspect. Most locals used to be workshops and factories before and being in the center of the city it's one of the busiest areas at night and during weekends. Prices are very affordable, the atmosphere is young and dynamic and there's a wide range to choose with different environments. The place is not exquisite, quite the opposite, but this this kind of charm is what makes it unique. You won’t find another area to get lost among young Hungarians, play a board game or talking to each other.
