Timanfaya National Park is one of the most emblematic areas of Lanzarote and the only park in Spain which is completely geological. The park has an extension of 51 km in the south-east of the island, where there are 25 non active volcanoes and where the red sand and ash landscape is unique. Many people link it with Mart. This region is a result of various volcanic eruptions (the last eruptions where in 1824).

To visit the park it is recommended to get on a bus which travels around the park, it is a good way to see closer the volcanic landscapes but also to see some of the natural phenomenons happening like the water springs. In the route of volcanoes you can see some of the main landmarks like: la Montaña de Fuego, La Caldera de Corazoncillo or la Montaña Rajada. You can also ride camels in the park.
