The Gran Canaria island is one of the 7 islands of the Canarian Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. This group of islands form the Autonomous community of Canarias in Spain and it is one of the main touristic destinations of the country. Gran Canaria is one of the most populated islands and it receives many visitors, most of them Europeans who come to enjoy the sun and amazing beaches in the shore of the volcano where the... island was born. Gran Canaria shows off of one of the most beautiful landscapes of the country, with tropical ones but many natural wonders, more than 60 km of beaches of golden sand, full of dunes and surfers. If you like to discover the essence of every place, in Gran Canaria you will be able to do it visiting charming villages stucked in past which still preserve many of the main ancient traditions. With all of this, it is normal that the island was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.
