The Terracotta Garden is one of the fine surprises you can run into walking around Chiang Mai's old town. Or as locals call it: Baan Phor Liang Meun. It's an art gallery and study where loads of terracotta sculptures are on show. Thats clay, modelled kiln hardened.The sculptures are representative of both Buddhist and Lana art, very common in Chiang Mai. They're also a good example of south-eastern Asian art.
This museum-like place is out in the open and filled with vegetation, which makes it even more special. Photograph lovers will love it too, and it's entrance free so there's no excuse not to go!
