The Louvre Museum is one of the most important museums both in France and worldwide. In fact, it occupies the top position among the most visited art museums in the world with more than 8 million visitors each year. The museum is located in a former palace and is the largest in Paris. It houses an infinite number of art works including "La Gioconda" or "Mona Lisa", a painting by Leonardo da Vinci  which is the best known portrait throughout Western history. The museum is endless and legend says one would need two whole days to contemplate all its works. There are kilometers of history and art inside, and the building itself is an exhibition.

On the outside, in the entrance plaza, there is the famous glass pyramids that characterize this museum. It also has beautiful front gardens that allow for a walk and to relax before or after entering the museum. Of course it is a place you must visit if you spend more than a day in Paris.
