The Promenade Des Anglais is the most famos avenue of the city which collects most of the tourism every Summer. This famous promenade surrounds all the city bay and it is around 4 km long. Its name comes from the time when the English visited the city in the Winter and walked in the shore. Part of the enchantment of this period can still be present in the hotels and buildings from the end of the century like the Negresco, throughout the promenade. Through the Promenade des Anglais you can arrive to several beaches of Nice, public oneas but also some privates, and also access to restaurants, bars… the best moment to walk in the promenade is in the evening, when the colours of the sky together with the views are simply beautiful.
