Colline du Chateau is very near the Old Town of Nice. After going up more than 200 steps you will arrive to what one day was the medieval fort, from where the city started to grow. During the way up you will see two cemetries or one big which is divided in two: the Christian and the Jewish. This area is called the Park of the castle and on the top there is an artificial waterfall which is quiet impressive. From there you can also go to the viewpoint and admire the views of Nice, its orange roofs and the beaches. It is really worth it to make the effort, but if you are really tired you can always take the free lift.
