The city of Jbeil, also known as Byblos (this is the Greek version and Jbeil or Jbayl the Arabic one) is considered one of the oldest cities in the world. This town was the first city built by the Phoenicians. Byblos is Greek for papyrus, which can be related with the fact that the Bible was named for Byblos (it was known as the papyrus book). Nowadays, Jbeil is an interesting fishing place with a cute stone center.
