Varazdin is a very beautiful town, about 90 km from Zagreb. It is a baroque town very well preserved, with its Trg Kralja Tomislava (square), the Draskovic Palace and the Old Town fortress (Stari Grad fortress). In Varazdin you can also enjoy of the Spancirfest, one of the largest open air music festivals in the country which takes place in August. The best way to travel from Zagreb to Varazdin is by bus, which takes 1 hour and 20 minutes or 1 hour and 45 minutes, depending on which one you take.
