18°17'42.3"N 65°48'00.3"W
The Yunque Rainforest is one of the largest green areas of Puerto Rico. We will recommend you at once that, if you visit this place, carry a towel with you to dry off after getting into the water reaching the park.
El Yunque is just outside of San Juan, the capital, but it’s worth a visit to get away from the beautiful beaches and discover the fauna and flora of Puerto Rico. In this park there are waterfalls and natural pools, ideal for cooling off during the walk. It also allows hiking and some people also organize picnics in the area. The park is free although there is also the possibility of hiring a guide for complete information. It is also near Luquillo Beach, one of the most famous of the coasts of the country. However, to reach the beach you will need some means of transport.
