Very near the Colosseum you can find the Roman Forum, a ruin complex which is full of buildings which were forming the zone in which the ancient Rome was developing the main daily life of the city. Here still some of the old roadways, buildings and squares are very well preserved. It is a very interesting spot to discover and walk through, you can imagine very easily how the life was in this golden age. When the city started to grow they also built other forums which are similars, but this one is the oldest and it was unearthed during the 20th century.

Together with the forum you will find the 7 mounts of Rome where it is thought that the real origins of the city are located. It is also said that here it is where the Capitoline Wolf had the cave where she raised the founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus. The most interesting of the Palatino is the hippodrome, which is perfectly  preserved.
