When you arrive to the Circo Massimo you will realize why it has this name. It is a huge land of grass in the middle of the city that once was the biggest circus of Rome. Nowadays you can also see the shape that it has and see some of the lateral seats, but we can also imagine the performances which were happening there. The esplanade has more than 600 metres long and 100 metres width where more than 250.000 viewers could fit. Inside the runway, more than 12 horse carts could run at the same time. Nowadays it is a park wich is a perfect place to picnic or just to enjoy of a day out .
