Fo Guang Shan Buddha Memorial Hall was established in 2011, and it is dedicated to promote Buddhism. When the founder Master Hsing Yun went one day to Tibet, he received the Buddhist relic as a symbol of gratitude, and this relic is along with the memorial hall.

Fo Guang Shan is the largest religious sacred ground for Buddhism in Taiwan with more than 100 hectares. The main hall is a 7 story building with shrines worshipping the Chinese Gods and 48 underground exhibition rooms. A wide square outside can hold up to 30 thousand people.
