The Bridge of Strings was designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and it is also known as the Chords Bridge. It is used by the Jerusalem Light Rail’s Red Line and it is one of the main iconic symbols and structures of East Jerusalem. It is basically a 188 metre mast with 66 cables symbolising the King David’s harp or it could also be an arrow in a bow.
