The Old City of Jerusalem is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a walled area inside the city. It has inside many of the most important religious sites like the Temple Mount, the Western Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. It is a key part of the city to be descovered. Traditionally, the Old City is divided into 4 quarters (Muslim Quarter, Christian Quarter, Armenian Quarter and Jewish Quarter). The defensive walls were built by the Turkish sultan Suleiman the Magnificent in 1535.
