Located in the Christian Quarter of the Old City, this church also known as the Church of the Resurrection is a key monument and symbol of the city. The site contains the place where Jesus of Nazareth was crucified (“Golgotha”) and also the Jesus’ empty tomb where he resurrected. There is a lot to be discovered in this site. Via Dolorosa is a street just before the church where it is believed that Jesus walked to his way to crucifixion.
