If Chicago is famous for something, it’s because of its skyscrapers. And there's a specific reason for that, and it's because for many decades it was the city with the tallest building in the world: The Willis Tower. It was finished early in the 70s and it was the pride of many locals, who brag about the 110 stories their favorite tower has. But that title, the tallest building on the world, lasted only for 3 decades, when Kuala Lumpur built the Petronas Towers and took the crown from Chicago. Although the tower in Illinois isn’t the tallest building in the planet, it's still the tallest one for the locals in Chicago and on the top floor the views of the skyline are incredible. One of the most important things that the building has is the crystal boxes outside on the surface, on the Skydeck, so people go over there and see the city bellow their feet. Not many are dare to do it, to be standing on those crystals is an amazing and unrepeatable experience. To go up the Willis Tower, you have to buy a ticket, and it's recommendable to buy it in advance.
