While many travel to Alicante to enjoy the sea and coastal villages around the area there are also indoor places that are worth visiting. One of them is the valley of Guadalest, a municipality with a set of walls and fortresses located in a valley surrounded by mountains with a water reservoir in the foothills of the mountains. Guadalest is one of the most visited rural villages in Spain and no wonder. The place is very quaint and although sometimes crowded is the idyllic setting to spend hours and hours with eyes open. The fauna and flora are very interesting, the mountains that surround the town are stunning and the swamp is accessible and allowed to bathe.

It is worth it to park the car in the village and then walk up the streets to get through the tunnel to the castle and the walls.

In addition, there is a circular area for hiking leaving from Beniardá and about 10 kilometers of flat land stretches the route.
