Definetely one stop has to be in Icod de los vinos to admire one of the main landmarks of Tenerife: el Drago Canario. Drago Canario it’s a kind of red sap which can live hundreds of years. Its name comes from the red resin from the tree which looks like the blood of a dragon, which nowadays has been discovered to have many medicinal properties. In the past there were many trees like this, but nowadays there is this one left, which has 1000 years. It is located right next to the church and it is 18 metres high. Its flowering happens every 10 years and it celebrated always with a big party.
