Taroko National Park is one of the most known green areas of Taiwan very famous amog locals and tourists. The park is located in the region of Hualien, almost 3 hours by car from Taipei and it can be visited in just 2 days. It lays out more than 1200 square km having inside more than 25 peaks of more than 3000 metres of altitude. The area is quiet leafy, in fact it is one of the most wild areas of the country with marble, canyons, cliffs, suspension bridges, waterfalls, shrines, hiking and bike paths…and the fauna and flora is quiet diverse. It is recommended to not visit the park during the typhoon and rain period, because they have to close many affected parts, and maybe you won’t be able to have access to the park. The park is well connected and there are often buses to transfer visitors from one point to another.
