The Taipei 101 is probably one of the main symbols of Taipei, and it is one of the highest skyscrapers in the world. It has 101 floors within 588 metres and it has 5 more floors underground. It is designed specially to resist typhoons of more than 450 km/h and earthquakes, quiet common in Taiwan. It symbolizes a fusion between the Asian style with the technology, the traditional style with the modern. But there’s more, Taipei 101 has some of the quickest lifts in the world, they can transport more than 25 people in just 37 seconds from the floor 5 to the 89. To go to the top you can buy a ticket and you’ll find a museum and on the first floors there is a shopping centre.
