Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is the capital city of the island and a nice city located in a stunning place between two bays: the beach Playa de las Canteras and the beach Playa de las Alcaravaneras, two huge beaches with are worth to visit. In Las Palmas you will find a wide hotel and services offer which can suit all tastes, like Puerto de la Luz, one of the most important ports in Europe. While walking around las Palmas you will discover a city full of history, specially in the neighbourhoods of la Vegueta and Triana, which were forming the city when it was still walled. The Vegueta neighbourhood has a concentration of the main historical and cultural buildings and it is a Worlds Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1990 for its amazing beauty and good conservation. If you travel to las Palmas you can’t visit this famous part of the city to discover the Santa Ana Cathedral, La Casa Regental or the Museo Canario, a part from other churches and nice buildings. If you come during the Carnival, you will be amazed by the party environment during the whole week.
