Officially the Saladin Citadel of Cairo is a beauiful Medieval Islamic fortification located in Cairo, concretely up hill in Mokattam, nowadays being a preserved historic site in the capital, belonging to the World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This fortification had its biggest importance during the 14th century. It is an impressive site to be discovered and explored, while in Cairo, don’t miss it!
