Artxanda viewpoint is located on the top of a mountain which borders Bilbao. Its location and views make it one of the most recommended stops while visiting the city. To go to the top you can take the cable car which leaves you quite near. From the viewpoint there is a privileged panoramic view of Bilbao, you can aso see the Txorrierri valley and sometimes you can even see the sea.
The viewpoint is located in the park Pikotamendi. Inside this park there are some statues recommended to see: El Engranaje and la Huella Dactilar. The first is an original piece of the Artxand Funicular. The Huella Dactilar is a scupture of Juan José Novella and commemorates the Spanish Civil War victims.
