Transport in Bilbao
Bilbao has a good transport system. It is connected through buses, metro, train and cable train, but the largest transport is the tram.
Bilbao Metro
Metro BilbaoBilbao has 3 metro lines: L1 goes from Plentzia until Etxebarri; L2 goes from Kabiezes until Basauri and the L3 from Matiko until Kukullaga. You can change from one line to another in the main stations like San Mamés and the Old Town one.
Bus
BilbobusThe bus netork has 36 intercity lines and it connects Bilbao with other cities too through the Bizkaibus. A single ticket costs 1,20€. If you choose this transportation option the best is probably to buy a card with 10 trips so you can save money and time.
Train
Renfe CercaníasThe city of Bilbao is well connected with other cities through the train network. There are 3 main stations: the Bilbao-Abando Station (the most important where you’ll find operating Renfe Cercanías), Bilbao-Atxuri Station and Bilbao-Concordia Station.
