The Netherlands National Museum or Rijksmuseum hosts a wonderful collection of Dutch works of art with artist like Rembrandt or Vermeer. It is one of the stops you must do during your stay in Amsterdam. Located in the famous Museum Square, next to Van Gogh Museum, it is one of the most visited museums in the country. If you don't want to queue, be sure to go early in the morning.
If museums aren't your thing, we recommend you to walk around and if you fancy, take a picture in the famous letter symbol located at the entrance of the museum: I amsterdam. Right next door is the Van Gogh Museum. If you want to, you can also visit it.
