Ponta da Piedade has been recognized as the most beautiful beach in the world. It is probably the first must-see attraction if you are in the area and have the chance to go. It is located very near the municipality of Lagos and what attracts more the attention of it is its cliffs and rock formations of more than 20 metres high. To access to the beach you need to go out from the lighthouse of Ponta da Piedades and go down walking using the stairs around the rock formations. You can also access by boat from Lagos. Ifyou take one of these boats in Lagos they will also bring you to some caves and other rock formations near the beach.
