Hot Dogs are NY most common food and the most common one on street stalls. Although it's of European origins, people who emigrated to the United States gave it to the city and this simple dish, two slices of bread with a sausage in the middle, became incredibly famous. They began selling them in Coney Island, in Nathan's restaurant and this business still has the title of promoter and disseminator of Hot dogs. That's why so many people go there to try the original flavor.
Most people usually buy them at a street stall, virtually on every corner of the city, and the sausage goes usually with bread, ketchup, mustard and pickles. Eating one while walking down the street, New York style, is a must!
