In India and Mumbai you can find several kinds of bread to go with main dishes and sauces. Chapati is one of them and it consist on a wholemeal flour cake cooked in the tadoor (oven) or on a hot plate called tawa. In restaurants they serve them as complement of all kinds of dishes like Thali.
