Brisbane Comedy Festival

This festival brings the major Australian and international comedians every year, and takes place in February for almost a month in the iconic Brisbane Powerhouse.

 

Paniyiri Greek Festival

This festival is organized by the Greek Australian community, a cultural festival full of dances, traditional food and other kind of Greek events and traditions. Usually it takes place in May in the Musgrave Park and the entrance costs around 10$. 

 

The Brisbane Festival

It is basically an international Arts Festival which holds music, dance, theatre, comedy, circus and film activities (among others). It usually takes place in September in various locations across the city. Some activities are for free and some are paid.

 

Bridge to Brisbane

It is an important running event which starts from the Eastern Sir Leo Hielscher Bridge, along Kingsford Smith Drive and Inner City Bypass to Bowen Hills. Usually it is happening in August.   

 

Good Food & Wine Show Brisbane

Usually taking place in October or November during a weekend, this festival gives a wide range of local foods and drinks, specially of the Queensland wines.
