The Bygdoy Peninsula is a part of land which opens to the sea forming some part of the Oslo city. This area of the city is known to have the most of historical museums and for being one of the greenest areas and most beautiful near Oslo. One of the main museums you can visit is the Viking Boats Museum and it is interesting because it has inside two of the best preserved Viking boats in the world. Without any doubt, it is a good oportunity to know more about the ancestors of the Norwegians.

Another museum which is impressive is the Fram Museum where you can visit a stunning Polar boat and discover many things about the Norwegian adventurers which used to sail to the Poles. In this Peninsula you can also visit the Museum Kon-Tiki with more boats and also the Museum of the Norwegian People, with a famous wooden church of the Gol People.
