The Roman Theater or Teatro Romano of Malaga is a very representative monument which explains the Roman past of the city. This theater was dicovered in 1951, when the works of la Casa de la Cultura are located over it. The building was destroyed finally in 1992 when they decided to renew the theater. In the excavations they retook an important part of the structure of the theater with the scenery, the Orchestra, the stands and the entrances. Even some stones were discovered and they found out that they were used to built the Alcazaba. In the centre of the interpretation of the theater you will be able to admire some retaken pieces from the excavations which explain a bit how it was the life of the old period when it was first built.  Nowadays, the theater is offering many plays and performances in it.
