Al Zubara Fort is a historical military fortress in Qatar, built during the era of Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani in 1938 as a Coast Guard station. It is located in the ancient town Zubarah in Al Shamal municipality, about 100 km from Doha. It is a must-see attraction if you are not only visiting the Qatar capital city and you are doing a route through the country.
