Aguada Fort Area Candolim, Goa 40351, India

Vivanta By Taj, commonly known as Fort Aguada, is a Portuguese fort dating from the seventeenth century that's facing the Arabian sea. It has this name due to the fact that there's a freshwater spring coming into the fort that used to supply water ships passing by. For a long time it was the most strategic point of Portuguese colonization. The fortress is the only monument to visit in the place but it offers spectacular sights, especially at sunrise or sunset. It’s definitely a good place to enjoy a quiet time and really use your camera.
